filmmaking: wedding highlights films

As some of you may know I am not just a graphic designer, I am also a photographer working with my wife Laura over at Babb Photo. BUT since the beginning of the year I have been learning a new craft... the dark arts of filmmaking D:

I'm not going to lie, it's been bloody hard work, new techniques, new programs, a whole new way of thinking, learning how to tell a story and steer a narrative in a short 3 minute video.

But I have to tell you, I am loving the process, the end piece is so satisfying, nailing the right piece of music and getting visuals to follow the mood is addictive.

Ismay and Paul's wedding at the East Quay Venue in Whitstable was great fun, and pack full of great details to make a great video, and we could not have asked for a better backdrop than inky-blue thunder clouds hanging over the Thames Estuary.

Katy and Ross's day was full of emotion and surprises. No one was expecting the thick mist to stay over the North Yorkshire moors, but it added a beautiful atmosphere to the day and made for some stunning cinematic backgrounds.

I mostly work with Babb Photo, please get in touch with either of us for more information.
